You ever seem to notice how weather borrows your mood? Weather is unpredictable. Emotions are unforeseeable. And I fear they are tethered. Weather is the bind to floodgates and if the sky is dull and missing light, then ships are sailing off ports and crashing straight into a storm. Weather is a fortune teller looking down ready to strike any smile away. But sometimes the sun bursts out of the clouds like it has something to prove. Like it’s going to shrink your problems and make anyone give out a light laugh. Funny, isn’t it? We pretend we’re separate from it all—from clouds, from thunder—but it does affect us. Sometimes, the weather just reminds us we’re human. And maybe, just maybe… the sun will always find its way back. Eventually.
